Yes, I’m one of those that gets on Pinterest and looks up an hour later to wonder where the time went. But I find the best projects and inspiration. And that’s how today’s post came to be. I found a few projects I thought would be fun to make this week to celebrate the 4th of July (Independence Day in the United States).
Red, White, & Blue Mason Jars
I admit that I love jars and have a fine collection of them! This clever idea from It All Started with Paint is a flag decor piece that doubles as a holder for straws and eating utensils. All you need is jars, paint, stars, and a nail file. It will definitely add a bright spot to your holiday festivities.
Kraft Paper Snack Bags
These adorable and practical snack bags from Lia Griffith are easy to make, especially with the instructions she includes with her post. Plus, you can use these for any snack like potato chips, carrot sticks, popcorn, candy, and more. The cute sticker she uses is available to purchase in her Etsy store, but you could use any festive sticker or washi tape.
Firecracker Card Pattern
I don’t send very many cards for the 4th of July, but when I saw this free pattern on the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Patterns Pinterest board my mind starting whirling with ways to use it. Think firecracker garland, or hook four together for a centerpiece, or for food labels, or attach to skewers and create a bouquet. The possibilities are endless.
I hope you have a wonderful 4th of July and find a little time to create a few crafts for your celebration.
